Limerick Township Bridge Replacement 

Beginning Monday, May 11, and continuing through Friday, November 27, Linfield Road/Main Street in Limerick Township will be closed and detoured 24/7 between Lewis Road and Limerick Center Road. Local access will be maintained, but all other drivers will be detoured.

Pikeland Avenue: 

Chester County Bridge 272 carries Pikeland Avenue over Stony Run, just north of the intersection of Pikeland Avenue and Stony Run Road. The bridge sustained damage to the bridge railing and adjacent stone wall due to a vehicle impact.

To facilitate repairs, traffic will be reduced to a single lane beginning August 24, 2026. The northbound lane will be closed, and traffic through the work zone will be controlled by stop signs. The repair work is anticipated to take approximately 2 to 3 weeks. Upon completion of the repairs, the bridge and roadway will be restored to their normal two-lane traffic configuration.

Pennhurst Road:

Pennhurst Road will be closed beginning August 18th, 2026, from 7AM to 5PM for a pipe installation for PA American Water. The work will be going on until the end of September, with only local residents allowed. The work will affect access to the Veteran's Center. While Pennhurst Road will be shut down, drivers for the Veteran's Center will have access through Brown Drive.

Hickory Grove Road: 

The milling and paving project for Hickory Grove Road is scheduled to begin Friday, August 28th, and last until Thursday, September 3rd. Signs have been posted along Hickory Grove Road to notify motorists and residents of the upcoming work, with possible road closures. More updates will be released should the road need to close for work to continue.
