Snowplow Contractor Requirements

East Vincent Township is seeking qualified contractors to provide snow plowing and salting services for Township Roads and Properties during the 2025/2026 winter season. Services must be performed in a timely, reliable, and professional manner throughout all winter weather events.

Contractors must meet the following minimum equipment requirements:

  • vehicle must have a minimum GVWR of 17,500lbs
  • vehicle must be capable of hauling and distributing 3-6 tons of road salt
  • vehicle must be equipped with a snowplow of at least 8'6" wide
  • vehicle must have a functional back-up alarm
  • vehicle must be equipped with operational safety lighting 
  • vehicle and operator must be exclusively available to East Vincent Township during all winter weather events
  • vehicle and operator must be available 24/7 during snow events and remain on until plowing operations are complete

Additional Requirements:

  • proof of all carried insurances 
  • hourly rate for truck and operator 
  • complete description of equipment, make, model year, attachments, etc. 
  • typical response time upon notification 
  • references if required
