Brown Drive/ Old Schuylkill Road Sewer Expansion
The Township has prepared an Act 537 Sewage Facilities Planning - Special Study which provides for the extension of public sewers to serve the Brown Drive/Old Schuylkill Road area of the Township. The project is located in the northeast corner of the Township and includes portions of Old Schuylkill Road, Brown Drive, Shady Lane, Reitnour Road, and Schuylkill Road. The area contains a total of 49 dwelling units to be potentially served throughout 47 parcels.
On March 24, 2022, impacted property owners attended a meeting at the Township Building to discuss the project and ask questions. You may view the slides from the presentation below, and the recording of the meeting can be found here.
At the May 4, 2022 meeting, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution 2022-15 approving the submission of the Act 537 Sewage Facilities Planning Special Study to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for its approval. Below is the Act 537 Sewage Facilities Planning - Special Study.
At the July 6, 2022 meeting, the Board of Supervisors awarded the Brown Drive/Old Schuylkill Road Sanitary Sewer Project to Wexcon, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $926,696.
