New Single-Family Dwelling Permit

Please utilize the checklist below when completing the required forms.  We recommend that you call the Township Office at 610-933-4424 first to ensure you have all the correct forms and paperwork before submitting the application.

  1. Zoning Permit Form
  2. Building Permit Form 
  3. Structure Placement Form 
  4. Plot Plan of property showing locations of existing and proposed structures with dimensions to the property lines, setbacks, easements, slope, septic fields, etc. 
  5. Township Driveway Permit - Must be signed by the property owner, and submitted with $400 for escrow, which shall be held for the paving of the first 20 ft.
  6. Energy Conservation Profile - provide the energy conservation design either by "RES_Check" or IECC code book prescriptive method  
  7. State Driveway Permit - issued by PennDOT in the name of the property owner 
  8. Water Connection Documents
    1. If on-lot well, the permit shall be obtained from the Chester County Health Department (610-344-5275) and will be issued in the name of the property owner.
    2. If public water, provide proof of the Public Water Connection Agreement with PA American Water, Co. 
  9. Wastewater Service Documents
    1. If on-lot sewage, provide the on-lot Sewage Treatment Permit, which shall be obtained from the Chester County Health Department (610-344-5275) and will be issues in the name of the property owner. 
    2. If public sewer, complete the Building Sewer Permit application and submit with the Tapping Application 
  10. Tapping Fee (Public Sewer) - $8304 required with the tapping application 
  11. Proof of Property Ownership - i.e. tax receipt, deed, settlement papers 
  12. Erosion and sediment control plans - Chester County Conservation District Approval letter 
  13. Storm Water Facilities Plan - showing size, location and design of all water catch basins 
  14. Construction Drawings 
    1. 3 Sets of plans at 1/4"=1'-0" scale showing dimensioned plan views of foundation, each floor, appurtenances (porches, decks, patios), accessory buildings, elevation views, sections views, structural framing identification, connections details; notes and declarations relative to compliance to all current state, county and local building codes, statutes and regulations. The township building official may request a professional engineer's stamp be affixed to any drawings whose structural design cannot be verified by building bode review.
