The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is excited to share the new Watershed-Friendly Lawn Fertilization and Care Guide for Pennsylvania residents!

This practical resource was created by Penn State Extension and funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture to help homeowners maintain healthy lawns while protecting our local waterways. The Watershed Friendly Guide provides easy to follow recommendations on proper fertilizer use, mowing practices, watering, soil health, and other environmentally responsible care practices that help reduce nutrient runoff and support cleaner systems. 

The guide can be found attached below. Hard copies are also available, and can be obtained by contacting Denise Uzupis, the Agronomic Program Specialist with the Department of Agriculture, at duzupis@pa.gov
